Helping Sick Children all over the World

Pamela Babek

Wishers and Dreamers, Inc.

Wishers and Dreamers is a non-profit that sends little hospital gowns to children all over the world, as well as delivering them to children’s hospitals. Our volunteers are very important to us. They are the ones who make all the hospital doll gowns. They put their hard work and love into each gown in hopes that it helps a child with what they are going through with their medical issues.

Our Mission

We know that many children spend their time in hospitals, clinics, and germ free environments. Many children with disease, illness, or a disabling medical condition are unable to play outside. Their doll or bear may be their best friend. Therefore, our mission is to provide, free-of-charge*, a hospital gown for their doll, bear, or little buddy. All gowns are handmade with love by the Wishers and Dreamers, family, and friends.

*Thanks to our generous donors!

Wishers and Dreamers Sewing Team

We can only accomplish all that we do through our amazing network of skilled volunteers. It truly is a team effort! One volunteer group, “Sewing with Heart” senior sewing group, located in Irvine, CA, has been sewing  gowns for Wishers and Dreamers from the beginning. They generously volunteer their time and skills. The Sewing with Heart team has made over 600 gowns for children all over the world.

Many other individual and group volunteers have worked diligently to hand-craft gowns, tailored to our children's (and their family's) request for a special gown. Please visit our Wishers and Dreamers Facebook Page where we love to showcase many of our wonderful volunteers. Are you interested in learning more about volunteering for Wishers and Dreamers?

joy & encouragement to children

Meet Pamela

Pamela Babek, Founder
Pamela recognized the struggle cancer patients go through on a daily basis, and wanted to help by giving them something that would symbolize joy and encouragement. Pamela's passion for children led her to focus on helping children with cancer. Pamela soon recognized there were many other forms of illness children were suffering from. Therefore, Wishers and Dreamers was founded to help all sick children who would like a homemade gown for their doll or other little buddy.

Made with 100% love by our volunteers!
All gowns are sent to children FREE of charge.
